Medical Education for Human and Planetary Health
To contend with the growing human and planetary health crisis, emerging health professionals need new approaches for diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy. The Center for Innovation in Global Health has curated resources to support medical students and other health professionals who want to take action on human and planetary health issues – in the clinic and beyond.
Emergence
The Emergence Program at Stanford Prevention Research Center offers coursework and experiential learning opportunities, co-curricular workshops, and networking opportunities for Stanford students and faculty innovators. It supports the translation of research to impact in Human and Planetary Health through entrepreneurship and cross-sector collaborations.
Stanford Organization for Global Health
Stanford University School of Medicine students created the Stanford Organization for Global Health (SOGH) to increase awareness of international health issues by educating at home and assisting abroad. SOGH students facilitate participation in issues surrounding international health through travel fellowships and NGO networking. They also stimulate passion and interest in global health through tangible community-initiated, community-centered projects abroad.
