Celebrate Human and Planetary Health at Stanford! Join us on Tuesday, October 14, in the MacKenzie Room to ring in the fall quarter with an event and reception. Hosted by the Stanford Center for Human and Planetary Health (HPH), the program will feature faculty and student presentations on new research, educational initiatives, and opportunities focused on the connections between our health and the environment. 

The program will run from 3:30-5pm, with a reception to follow from 5-6pm. Presentations will include updates from the Center for Human and Planetary Health by HPH Faculty Director Dr. Steve Luby, along with talks from Stanford experts highlighting new projects in disease ecology (including the Disease Ecology in a Changing World (DECO) program), efforts to combat lead contamination and its health impacts on children, new research on antimicrobial resistance and environmental factors, efforts to better understand urban emissions’ health impacts (featuring new HPH Early-Career Award recipients), and updates from HPH working groups on plastics and health as well as food systems, health and the environment.
